How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your Afriiilance account at any time directly from the app or website.
- Open the Afriiilance app or website
- Go to Settings (click your profile icon → Settings)
- Scroll down to the "Delete Account" section
- Click "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion in the popup dialog
- Your account will be permanently deleted
⚠️ Warning
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. This action cannot be undone.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number, bio)
- Your profile picture and all uploaded images
- All service listings (gigs) you created
- All messages and conversations
- All voice notes and file attachments
- All reviews you left or received
- Your payment methods
- Your order history
- All stored preferences and settings
What Data Will Be Retained
Some data may be retained for legal and compliance reasons:
- Transaction records (retained for 7 years for tax/legal compliance)
- Dispute records (retained for 5 years for resolution purposes)
- Anonymized analytics data (no personally identifiable information)
Before You Delete
Important steps to take before deletion:
- Complete or cancel any active orders
- Save any important messages or files you want to keep
- Download your order history if needed
Data Deletion Timeline
Most of your data is deleted immediately when you delete your account. Any data retained for legal compliance will be deleted according to our retention schedule:
- Immediately: Profile, gigs, messages, images, account settings
- 5 years: Dispute records and related data
- 7 years: Transaction and payment records (tax/legal requirement)
